Adams, Samuel, 1722 - 1803

Samuel Adams was the son of Samuel and Mary Adams of Boston, Massachusetts who became one of the Founding Fathers of the United States.  A graduate of Harvard College, he held the positions of clerk of the Massachusetts House of Representatives (1766-1774), President of the Massachusetts Senate (1782–1785, 1787–1788), Lieutenant Governor (1789 – 1794) and Governor (1794-1797).
